Intel wants to promote the 5G and for this has developed wireless products that are characterized by having this technology. And is that the multinational is in a unique position to combine networks, clouds and customers in a powerful end-to-end solution.
As Sandra Rivera, Intel’s first vice president and general manager of the Network Platforms Group , says, in the near future a multi-lane superhighway will be needed for the data to circulate at enormous speeds since with one lane – as it exists in the Actuality- it will not be possible. “The progress of our plans indicates that Intel continues to advance at gigabit speeds to help the industry create this superhighway and benefit from the speed, capacity and low latency that 5G technology promises.”
Outstanding products include the Intel XMM 8000 series modems – Intel’s first commercial and multimode modems based on the New 5G Radio standard (5G NR) – and the latest Intel LTE modem , the Intel XMM 7660 . Intel has also announced that it has made an end-to-end 5G call using its first 5G solution, the Intel 5G modem, a milestone in the development of this technology. Finally, the Intel XMM 7560 modem – which was unveiled at the World Congress 2017 – has achieved gigabit speeds.
Intel technology is already a centerpiece in dozens of tests conducted around the world that are providing Intel and the industry with valuable information about the technologies that will make the future based on 5G networks a reality .
